With Your Help
With your help, we can make a major difference for our community and our planet! A small eco-fee of $6 will be automatically added to all service reservations. This enables us to ship out most of the waste created during your appointment (even your hair!) and is used to support other sustainable efforts in the salon.

We lead Chémel through our core values integrity and accountability. That means in our pursuit of beauty, our personal responsibility is to manage the waste that we add to landfills. Since 2017 we have partnered with Green Circle Salons to ensure that we do our part for the planet.
We are a Green Circle Certified Salon. That means that we are carbon-neutral and we have been honored the “Top Green Business Award” in 2018 by the City of Tacoma.
What is Green Circle?
Green Circle is the world’s first sustainable salon solution dedicated to recycling, recovering, and repurposing beauty waste from salons and spas. They offer a comprehensive program that ensures hair, foils, color tubes, plastics, papers, chemicals, and PPE get diverted out of our waste and water streams.
Why is this important?
Because hair, metals, and chemical residue cannot be treated by most municipalities, salon waste can end up in our landfills and waterways. At Avanti, we divert 95% of our waste so it is properly recycled and then repurposed.
Each time you pay us a visit, you’re supporting a cleaner, greener beauty industry. Every foil, color can, glove, and even lock of hair has a purpose!
